Key Support Services was founded by Ben, who’s spent over 10 years in disability support, not because it’s a job, but because he genuinely believes everyone deserves to live with dignity, choice, and real independence.
We’re not the biggest provider. We’re not trying to be. What we are is a local Newcastle/Maitland team that shows up, listens hard, and treats every participant like they’re the only one that matters.

Supported Independent Living(SIL)

Independent Living Options(ILO)

You’re in control. Whether you’re living solo, with family, or in a shared arrangement, we build a support plan that fits your lifestyle and evolves as your needs change. Regular check-ins, proactive support, and the flexibility to adjust as you grow.

Short Term Respite

Everyone needs a break sometimes. We provide short and medium-term respite that gives families peace of mind and participants a chance to try new experiences in a supportive, caring environment. We handle the details so you can actually rest.

Support With Daily Living

From cooking and cleaning to managing routines and building life skills. We help you do the things that matter to you, your way. We adapt as your needs change, always focusing on maintaining your independence.

Personal Care

Dignity first, always. Our team provides compassionate personal care with genuine respect and empathy. We take time to build real relationships so you feel comfortable and understood during every interaction.

Community Access

About Our Director and Founder..

As the Founder and Managing Director of Key Support Services, I bring not only professional expertise but lived experience to the work we do every day.

With qualifications in Individual Disability Support (Cert III & IV), a Diploma of Mental Health, and ongoing studies in Psychology, my journey in this sector has been shaped by years of hands-on experience and my personal experience living with disability.

I understand the challenges and opportunities in the disability space from both sides provider and participant. That dual perspective drives everything I do, from building responsive support teams to advocating for real, lasting change in how services are delivered.

Key Support Services was founded on the belief that everyone deserves to live with dignity, independence, and choice. I’m a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, fiercely focused on ensuring our services are inclusive, empowering, and genuinely person-centered.
